This weeks theme is all about the past and how is always seems to catch up with us...good or bad. This may sound all philosophical-esque but like so many things in life (sarcasm) it started with a skirt. Yes, I believe that the vintage velvet skirt I bought on last weeks blog really kicked off the chain of events that all surround the past. Its is a strange fashion force out to dictate what happens in our lives!!! You have been warned!!! For all of you in doubt, I present thee my evidence:

'Singing in the Rain' (tis most splendid!) was on tv the other day which made me listen to the soundtrack endlessly whilst googling vintage fashion obsessively....I think I get too immersed in things way too easily. I am so relieved I went through my teenage years without any major influence...having sad that, I went through an emo phase. Verily, it is so. I even went to an emo concert and stood out like someone with fish odor syndrome, which is when I realised it wasn't my true calling in life....plus I loved life too much and was never so self hating.
Anyways I digress...so yes evidence no. 1 old movies and reminiscing about the past!
Next:
A goodly length in times past, (i.e. on Wednesday), my family and I went to lunch with an Aunt that we hadn't heard from in an age. Just to give you an overall picture, she's the type of person who commands authority and is slightly scary unless you are in her good graces. And apparently I am considering she invited me to the theater that evening. Apparently she had a spare tickets because her son suddenly had to go to Paris for work (which I found out was true, although it wasn't such a surprise). So I couldn't say no, and went with her. Little did I know that she invited someone else to join. Someone that I had met once when I was 4, who my aunt constantly talks about. So basically...it was a set up! And no kidding, this is how she introduced us (with a medieval twist added to follow the theme):
"This is Q5 (pronounce without the v). He hath a lot of money, art quite handsome and thou art pretty. Seat yourselves next to each other and do as thou wilt"
By my troth! I could have died of embarrassment right there and then.
So randomly an aunt from the past and her nephew (not blood related to me because that would be wrong on SOOOO many levels...despite what my grandma says) comes along...out of the blue!
Also, watched Gilmore Girls and Adam Brody is in it!!! Developing a crush re-occurance! >.< so cute! So the past crush has returned!
And finally, my last piece of evidence:
On Thursday I met up with Frenchy Pillai and we walked from Covent Garden to Hammersmith! Old fashioned transport..WALKING!! Plus went to museums on the way FULL of old stuff!
I have but nought left to say. Anon!
Fare thee well,
Jess-E-π
Oh and side note for Susu, watch Queen Seon Duk! So good!!
