Posters, Pain and Paranormal Eliminations

Welcome guys and girls,
I've been a little preoccupied of late and had let our last visit slip, but fear not I'm able to offer a unique two for one special to help catch up. Click HERE to travel even further back in time *queue Dr Who theme*.....
I mentioned being preoccupied and that was down to the unfortunate situation of having two MASSIVE deadlines for the Monday of this week, thanks a lot MSc! These were, a A0 size (massive by the way) academic poster which I'd have to present on said Monday and a 2.000 word essay on something sciencey and only slightly interesting . As a result, on the weekend I was as STREEESSSSSEDDD  as poor Fry here
and this wasn't helped by the fact the professional printer I went to messed my order so I had to find somewhere new to print off my poster with a day to spare! I owe many thanks to Susu (welcome to the blog!) for practically saving my life with an ace recommendation.
Thankfully, my poster turned out fine and my presentation went fairly OK, even though I was very nervous. I was also very glad to be shot of that evil essay.
Queue a well deserved rest (chocolate and SLEEP).

I know, he's holding his right  leg lol
As it turned out perhaps I should have carried on sleeping right through Tuesday considering the state I ended up in. Allow me to explain. As some of you know, I'm partial to a spot of running and with Tuesday's track session over successfully I confidently began a warm down jog only to have an explosion of pain erupt from my left calf. Unceremoniously knocked off my feet with what I can only describe as the WORST cramp i've ever had, it was up to Zoe who's in my training group and Ron a throwing coach/physio to tend to me. VERY EMBARRASSING. I was able to get up on my feet and limp/be carried of the track before too long. Riveting as this little story is, I wouldn't have mentioned it had I not been stupid enough to think I was fine two days later and precede to relapse into fits of pain during a trip to the gym, EVEN MORE EMBARRASSING!

Hey, don't worry it's not all pain and ice packs. On Wednesday I had the pleasure of going to see GHOSTBUSTERS at the IMAX thanks to the wonderfully Frenchy Pillai (I'm following the trend Jessie) who won the tickets but couldn't go herself. I love this film and just the right amount of time had elapsed since my last viewing. So my friend Jan and I went along and enjoyed the fantastic Dan Ackroyd and Bill Murray (the latter steals the show). I dare anyone not to sing along to the theme song..

Have a great weekend, drop by again soon.

Top 3 things that made me laugh this week

1). Old Jews Telling Jokes (not being offence, it's a programme on BBC4. Highly recommend)
2). Bill Murray in Ghostbusters
3). Jess's mild facebook frape
