Wednesday's Wonderful Weekend!

Hello lovely people once again!

What an installment I have for you this week...stuff actually happened! *gasp*!

So this weekend just gone saw the arrival of my dear friend Laura to the residence of the Ol' Trout (my mother) and I. It was all very last minute; with her ringing me on the Wednesday evening to confirm she'd be arriving late on the Thursday. It was to the battle stations for all in the household; as the house we live in (complete with original windows and "central heating" circa 1964) is a complete mess! This is down, not to the fact me and the Trout are scutters, but to the fact we are awaiting the mortgage to come through so we can have the place done up!

My Dad's Girlfriend (An Artist's Impression)
I spent all day Thursday mopping, vacuuming, polishing, and generally doing my impression of an ugly (and male) Cinderella, complete with evil step-mother! When Laura finally arrived I was shattered, grumpy and me and the Trout had an argument! Great!

On Friday, Laura and I went to my local cinema to watch the original Ghostbusters!!!! It was amazing on the big screen even if the graphics looked even more tacky...I LOVE tacky! There was only 8 other people in the showing we went to and 4 of those were a couple with two young children (I mean Young...one was a babe-in-arms the other was like 3). Due to the presence of these kids Laura spent the whole time watching them instead of the film especially as the 3 year old danced every time music was played, and sometimes when it wasn't! We also came to realise how much swearing and sexual content there is in the film...something I failed noticed when watching it without small children present!

Saturday, we woke and headed out for the shops, the Trout needed more supplies as she hadn't expected Laura which meant she only had enough in the house for a party of 19 to drop by unexpectedly not the 20 she normally stocks up for! We went to the Beacon Center for The Blind's charity shop to drop off some old rubbish and came back with some more! I also bought my brand spanking new laptop on which I am typing this post. I have decided to name him Sir Lappy I'm not sure why he is a he...I just feel it =oP. All three of us spent the afternoon pumpkin carving and Laura made soup with the innards, which are normally thrown away because pumpkin tastes nasty. The soup didn't taste nasty however, as we ate it as a Sunday lunch starter! The Eve of Saturday was spent at my very good friend Charlotte's house where we (Me, Laura, Charlotte and Charlotte's girlfriend Sue) watched a film (Zombieland, which was actually very funny) and had take away (Chinese, which half of mine ended up on the floor =o( ). Overall Saturday was ace!

Sunday was meant to be the day Laura left so I hadn't planned much however, she decided to stay an extra day so she could see her friend in Birmingham *Pukes* (It's okay he was simply misguided and goes to uni there, he doesn't technically live there!) So my neighbour, Lucy, came over before Sunday lunch and we had a chat and a laugh, which the ASDA man rudely interrupted (Yep, that's right the Trout did more shopping!) And we spent the evening eating all the delicious food the Trout had cooked!

On Monday Laura left to go home, which made me sad, and my sister bought a caravan (she had been planning to...it wasn't a compulsive buy, nor was it in any way influenced by Laura leaving...they both just happened to coincide on the same day! =oP). Yesterday we went to see it...It's really nice and I can't wait for the free holidays to begin! The Trout also received a call yesterday telling her we are one step closer to getting the mortgage sorted WHOOP WHOOP I may actually not freeze in my bed this winter!
Me On Sir Lappy Bidding You Fairwell!

I'm very sorry about the long ass post but hey...it's not often so much exciting stuff happens in my life, let alone in one week , so I updated you on it all as next week my post will probably only be as long as the first paragraph of this one!

I hope all you lovely Wednesday people are doing good,

Your ever humble blogger,
Lovely Jubley Alikay
