"She was facebook stalking my dad for 2 hours last week"

Hello everyone, glad you caught me just in time for this latest update. It has been a very mundane week interperesed AND bookended by interesting events, especially the last 24 hours.
Look a little bit like this lol
To begin with last Saturday I went to the long awaited partial reunion with the very best friends from my time at Queen Mary and beyond, and I say partial because Alex (Alikay) couldn't attend and was sorely missed. I say beyond because just because we have all graduated won't stop us being still being good firends. Amongst the large group who were there, Jessiepie, Kates, B/E and Susu_A came, a few familiar names to those who visit ATSH? often. It was lovely to see them all as we rocked up to Hyde Park and drank in the sights and sounds of the eternally festive Winter Wonderland. The rides, attractions, mulled wine and giant plastic Father Christmas were enough to warm the heart of the most cold-hearted Scrooge. I've been in the past and had good memories, the same is true of that evenings visit to the fertile firey Christmassy island fighting back the dark cold of the barren winter months. I will go back again, I will bring my kids here! Anyways, we followed up trip with a fun group meal at Thai restaurant Busaba and dessert in Leicester square :)

After the weekend's excitment we move onto my working week at uni which comprised surprisingly boring lectures, but gratefully more interesting lab practicals. We have to be put in pairs for these labs and I randomly got allocated to the one person (out of about 31) I would have preferred not to....
Yes you've guessed it, G, that girl on my course who won't seem to leave me alone. As I established in the last few posts, I'm no longer worried she's after me in THAT way but still I would have liked to spend two weeks working with someone else, just so you know, I meet new people. But as it turns out the awkwardness doesn't stop just because we're in the lab and wearing latex gloves, ah well. On Tuesday, however, I was able to discover over a lunch with a group of others on my course including G that she is 27 and has a BOYFRIEND apparently. Sort of shocking enough on it's own, but when she said he not only lives in Nigeria but is in fact Nigerian the penny dropped (for those of you who don't know, that's where my family is from). I thought maybe I remind her of him and that's why as someone else on my course put it G 'follows me everywhere' *wonders*

Pondering done, last night (Thursday) I attended my friend's birthday meal and bowling  at All Star Lanes in Holborn. We were supposed to bowl too but circumstances conspired against our best intentions. I had fun catching up with some of my old stewarding friends who came, and you can find one of the quotes of the night in this posts title :D It was an american diner style place so I kept it simple with an 8oz Beef burgerand fries, I was starving and it hit the spot. Side note, you know when you see someone up close and you're just like WOW? Well the wow factor in question last night happened to be a friend of the birthday girl who happened to be sitting opposite me at dinner. Probably out of my league, but a good sense humour is a very attractive thing (plus she was HOT) and would certainly not be upset if I ran into her again.

A guy can dream right? speaking of dreams prior to the birth of ATSH?, little old me sent in a UCAS application  to four medical schools and today (Friday) I got my first invite for an INTERVIEW!!! I'm really happy and relieved. The first perosn I told was my mum and she was overjoyed to say the least. But now the slow build up to January 17th
WISH ME LUCK

I think that's more than enough for today.

Until next time.
