T.G.I.F

Hello and welcome to the first of  (hopefully) many visits. How have you been? Very well I hope :)
Funnily the Mr Cool mug was
piping hot in this photo!
I'll sign my posts M/-\D (Mad), but I'm no stranger to Mads, the occasional Maddie and the rarely heard in the wild Maduka. Regardless, all four are 21 years old, quite  laid back, reasonably sane :P with a knack for remembering obscure information and about random films. I guess that  pretty much sums me up, however I've kindly been invited by this ever so talented menagerie of amazing souls to contribute to this living blog, and so it goes...

Where to begin? I suppose the last 7 days. Oh wait how about something slightly awkward and embarrassing....but first some intro.
So, like the majority of my lovely friends I have also just graduated, however not learning my lesson I've crazily embarked on a MSc this year. That takes up a lot of my time at the moment for some awful reason, but I figure I'm lucky because the course (Molecular Medicine) and the university (Brunel) are pretty ok. 3 weeks in and I'm still sussing things out, but lectures and practicals are quite routine, still struggle to keep my eyes open post lunch haha. There's only 9 of us in total on the course and I'm the only GUY. Ok, I'll pause. Sounds somewhat interesting right? YEP I feel like a rooster in the hen house, if said rooster was the exact size and demeanour of a docile hen.....
Having said that, this past week in class has alerted me to an emerging 'situation'. It's not so much the smiles, the subtle glances OR the all out stares OR the awkward conversations (we'd never spoken until last week) OR the uncanny way the seating is arranged so that we're almost always sat next to each other OR the frequent lunch partnering but ALL of these things combined that has lead to feel like I have a second, long haired, female, all of 5ft

"Hold on a minute! Perhaps I'm being toooooo hasty in that appraisal?"...would have been my first thoughts UNTIL Monday. Monday Monday Monday. In a nutshell, I was abruptly accosted (exaggeration) for my phone number at the bus stop following lectures. In a kind of daze, uniquely brought about by being blindsided, I recited my number, the bus came. I turned to look and when I turned back my shadow was gone....
So far I've received 3 calls from G (shadow sounds douchey after awhile), always on the pretext of  'uni work', but it always winds up being a Vodaphone sponsored awkward conversation to add to the face to face ones.

I include that last sentence more as a matter of fact than anything else. Most things should be taken with a pinch of salt I think, particularly the behaviour of people you've just met, but I thought I'd offer up this little episode anyhow to see what sensible people make of it.
I'll save the film talk (I've watched two of note this week. easy A and The Lords of Discipline) and the athletics talk ( just starting to get back into my running yay!) for when you come around another time. As you may have noticed I tend to gabble....

Visit again soon.
