So Thursday came and almost gone (17:55 according to my laptop). What I'd like to say is that life is too short for us to care about the petty little thing. For example, when we point at a random direction and say "The city centre is literally 5 minutes away," and find us in a situation where we get criticised for pointing at the opposite direction of the city centre by a incredibly petty colleague.
Moving on swiftly, my name's Ben-E, named after the rusty yellow and grey robot from Wall-E. I'm a student still and earning well below the minimum wage from my PhD stipend because I work 12 hours a day and 6 days a week (on some weeks anyway). My week thus far has been filled with boring courses on ethics and laws involved with animal experimentation. After these incredibly slow and tedious lectures, it came to my attention that scientists that work with animals get threat notes and are targets to bomb attacks by extremists. So, this has added some level of excitement to my week. I.e. the anxiousness that I can receive a bomb through a parcel, but don't worry, fellow readers, the management staff in my building has made it exceptionally clear that they will not accept any parcels to the building because it takes too much time and effort. Though, saying that, they have also made it very clear that they have a lot of time to watch every single CCTV footage to find out who misplaced the rubbish ontop of the full waste bins.
Despite the many hardships on bomb threats, rude building management staff and the numerous emails I get cced in by my boss to do sh*t for him that are completely irrelvant to my work, I am enjoying the money I saved up for the potential threat of getting fired tomorrow after my BIG presentation to the department. For now, toodles and until we meet/you read again (aka, next thursday)
